Image Bank - Depth

In each of these photos the foreground stands out the most, which helps emphasize the depth of the image. This is because you firstly notice the foreground then your eye scans along the image and gives you the effect of depth of the image coming to a point. When taking a photo to indicate depth the angle of the camera is important, because with most photographs that indicate depth the angle of the camera must be elevated from the line of depth you want so you get that nice effect of the line getting smaller. For example in the images bellow all of the photographers have taken their picture from an elevated position as to get the effect wanted. this also allows for more of the background to be in the image which also emphasizes the narrowness of the lines as you get closer to the background of the image.

In this image the photographer took the photo from the center of the road, which really helps to demonstrate the depth of the photograph. As we move along the the middle of the image we can see the depth of the image the line in the middle of the image shows the viewer the the direction the depth goes in. This image is a rather interesting image because using a road to depict depth is actually a rather clever thing to do because it is one of the easiest to do and also is one of the only images that can show depth across the whole length of the image because of the lines in the road and the road itself.
In this photograph the photographer decided to take a photo of a railed bench. This image gives us 9 straight lines giving the same depth effect and all of the rails merge into one which illiterates the depth of the image. The great thing about this image is that the there is also two extra views of depth. We have a depth going along the wall which goes along and meets in the same place as the rail. There is also a depth on the building that isn't as effective as the other two but it is still there as you go along the left hand side buildings.
In this image we can see that the photographer decided to take a photo of a bridge in the forest. In this image i like that there are 3 different start points for when depth can start, because you have the effect of depth coming from the walkway and the two railings which give it a more three dimensional feel to it.
In this image we can see that there is a curve in the straight lines, but as you can see this does not effect the depth of the image. What I like about this  photograph is that it leads the eye into the image and off to the right. There is only a small area that in in focus and this adds to the interest. The depth of the rail curve to the right and the depth happens closer to the bottom of the image is rather interesting.
In this image we can see that depth can work on anything no matter what size it is or in which direction the lines are going. This is a rather interesting thing because using an instrument is rather interesting way to represent the depth of a line. I like how they have a different direction for the depth then the normal ones which go though the middle of the image whereas this one goes to the left of the image.

This image is a lot like the other image of a bridge but this bridge has a greater depth to it and the main focus is only on the bridge itself because the background is plain so the focus is only on the bridge and it's depth.
