Definition - Form

Definition:

Web Definition:
Depth is the visible shape or configuration of something.

My Definition:
Depth is the shadow cast be an object that makes it 3D in a 2D image.

Design,
Style,
Mode,
Plan,
Cast,
Cut,
Outline,
Skeleton.
Here is a great example of form, from this we can see the way the cola can shape because it has been bent. In this we can see the each crease in the coke can which shows us its outline and shows us the new shape of the coke can which we can tell is 3D.

This image of a hand is a great indicator of form because we can clearly see the viable shape and configuration of the hand which shows us the form of the image. We can see that the fingers are rounded and that because there is dips in the fingers we can see that there is some sort of structure to it.

From viewing this 2D image we can easily determine that it is in fact 3D because we can see a corner and top of the image which means we can tell what shape the image is and we can also tell from that it is 3D.

In this image we can see that the object is 3D. This is because we can see from the way it casts a shadow that it is 3 dimensional and not 2D. We can also see the shape of the object because of the way it casts a shadow and how it reflects other objects.
