Image Bank - Multi Image

Here are some images of multi image by other photographers that I found on the internet. Multiple images are when you have a repeating unit in the same image. They can be used to make very interesting images with the same people repeated though out the image.

Here we see a multiple image of someone pointing and a still image movement from point to point. They also used a black and white tone which eliminates the background and causes the viewer to only pay attention to the man pointing and not to anything else which makes the image more interesting. The reason I chose to include this image is because it is a good example of multiple imagery and also uses the formal element of tone as well.

Here there are multiple images of waves on top of each other to make a wavy affect. This makes it seem like because there are loads of waves stacked on top of each other it makes it look larger and more violent and dangerous. This also makes the wave look fake and unrealistic.
Here we see lots of layers of the same woman around a man. This image was probably made by a person to make it look like he is worshiped by women. This technique can be applied to lots of things and also can makes some interesting images which duplicate a certain object or person multiple times.
Here we see the photographer has taken a photo of someone and has used their outline and put an image of a forest within it. This is a rather interesting image because it takes all the detail out of the person and has been replaced with an image of a path in a forest. The only detail left in the person is their own basic outline.
Here we see that a guy has taken an image of the same area with him in deferent positions.  This is interesting because if it wasn't the same person then it looks like a normal bus stop and actually has people doing stuff they do at a bus stop while waiting for the bus.
Here we see the same women in her room doing lots of different things.

Image Bank - Mapplethorpe Portraits

Here are some images by Robert Mapplethorpe that I found on the internet. Mapplethorpe was a rather controversial photographer at the time and one of the less controversial image types he did was portraits which he did for a lot of people.

Here we see a picture of a woman which at first glance looks average but Mapplethorpe's use of focus and contrast makes the shot almost ethereal.

In this image I think Mapplethorpe is making a statement that woman should be seen not heard and the tape makes degrades the woman to no more than an object.

Here we see a self portrait of Mapplethorpe. I think this was carefully contrived to make him look cool and is reminiscent a James Dean image from the early 50's
Mapplethorpe having fun, and playing with low light to emphasise the devil theme.

A simple but classic study of light and dark but I think the background of the black man. If I was to do this I would make the background of the Black man totally white.

Another self portrait of Mapplethorpe typical of 50's movie imagery.

Image Bank - Contrast

Here are some images that I have found on the internet that photographers have taken to show contrast of all types of possible contrasts. Contrast is when two of something are very different to each other. This can be done with nearly anything. The main contrast is colour but I can can be a contrast of peoples personality or of two objects.

In this image we can see that the photographer has taken this photo of some variegated leaves. While the flower contrasts with the leaves a close up of just the variegated leaves would be just as interesting as the variegation is so strong.

In this image we see a marked contrast between a green field and the brown soil.

Contrast yes. But this image has other metaphors. Like the odd one our or the black sheep. Also in a colour wheel. Opposing colours always contrast well. Red is opposite green.

Strong primary colours also work to great effect when showing contrast.
Here we see the photographer has captured an image of a double rainbow which is contrasted against the bleak grey sky.

In this image we can see the contrast between the red sand in the water and the blue top of the water. This looks like a retouch in both the colour and the mirror image on both sides.

Image Bank - Back Of Head Portraiture

Here are some photos of the back of peoples heads. Back of head photos are when you take a photo of the back of someones head. The reason that people do this is because it takes focus away from the face and focus of actually taken a photo of the shape of the head. This makes taking a photo of the front of someone easier because you can get the correct position for their head and then you can focus on the face.

Here we see the photographer has taken a photo of the back of a person on a white background and has decided to take a section of the hair and have that on the left side, keep a bit of shoulder and have a blurred background as to add to the interest of the hair style.

Here wee see the photographer has taken an image of more of the back of a person and has included a green tint. We also see that they have starched their arms up and that we can see quite a bit of their back.
In this image we see that the photographer has taken some photos of the back of someones head at the sea-side and has made the background look grainy.
In this image we see that a person has shaved their hair and then decided to get a tattoo of a barcode on the back of his head. This gives the view a point of interest on which they can focus on.

Here we see the photographer has taken a photo of a woman with curly blonde hair and what looks like at the bottom a wedding dress.

This photographer has taken an image of a girl in a forest and decided to change the tone of the image to black and white to match the background.

Image Bank - Portraiture

Here we see some Portraiture of some fomous people taken from the internet. We can also see that most of them are in black and white because it eliminates the possibility of the viewer not identifying the main point of the photo.

Here we see an image of Harrison Ford. We can see that this image has been made to look old by using black and white and an orange tint.

Here we see an image of Johnny Depp as Edward Scssor hands, because this photographer has taken it in black and white we can  identify more of the persons facial features and the had more because the colour doesn't take away from the features.

In this image we see a photo of a side on Emma Watson. This shows us that because she is doing a side on photo it shows that she is hiding something.

This photgrapher has taken a photo of Anna Torv as she smiles at someone in the distance.

Here we see a photographer has taken a normal portrait photo of a person in colour and have edited it heavily.

In this image we see a front of photo of Chridtopher Walken in black and white, because it is black and white we can identify all of his facial features.

Image Bank - Texture

Here I have found some images of texture from the internet. Texture is the feel or appearance of an object. This is rather interesting because by using texture we can tell how the object will feel and you can also tell if the image is 3D or 2D which is rather interesting. Texture is rather interesting because it is an underline feature in most photos but you just don't notice it as much as the photo itself.

Here we see that the surface of the tree stump is rough. We know this because if we look at the surface structure of the tree we can see the cracks that go across it . This shows us that the tree trunk is rough.

In this image we see the photographer has taken a photo of a rough bumpy surface and has managed to capture the texture of the wall in the image. This is done because we can both see the bumps in the wall and we can see the shadows that they cast.

We can observe in this image that the photographer has has managed to capture the smoothness of the apple, this has been done by capturing the light that hits the apple on a small surface covered in water.

In this we can see the surface of the leaf that looks rough, but even thought  there are lots of cracks throughout its structure the leaf is actually smooth to a touch. This means that even though the photographer has captured a rough surface it is actually a smooth surface.

In this we can see what looks like a rough surface of rocks which it is but they have also capture a rough surface on the rocks as well which shows two different surfaces one made from the other.

In this image we see the rough scale like surface of an alligator or crocodile. Even though the combination of the scale may be rough to the touch of a single scale it is smooth. In this the photographer has only capture the roughness of the surface.

Image Bank - Photojoiner

Here is a collection of photojoint images from multiple photographers from the internet. Each photographer has choosen a different style of photojoiner.  Photojoiner is when you join together multiple images of  certain images to form a new image. It is a rather interesting technique because you can form a completely new image from lots of smaller images to form a larger image of the subject of the smaller photos.

Here we see a very distorted image of someones phone on a wooden bench along with their headphones. Here the photographer has decided that he or she didn't put it together to make it look like a whole image but to be slightly recognisable.

Here the photographer has decided that they will try to reconstruct the image as closely as they can. Even though some section haven't got the same light spread and someone is repeated 3 times it still works out as an image and you can easily tell what it is.

Here someone has manged to nearly perfeclty reconstruct this image of a cliff and has has sections of the sea in different colours of blue. Some of the images are brighter than the others which make it more interesting and adds to the creativity of the image and adds to the layers of the image as well.

In this image we see someone has taken lots of mutilpe photos at different angles and has tried to achieve a panoramic image going across. This is a creative idea because they have taken images from the same area so that the whole image put together from the perspective of someone sitting in their sit.

This photographer has taken a multiple phord at diffrent angles and has tried to make this image look as natural as possible but has a slightly distorted building because she has repeated a section twice.

In this photographers work they have taken the photos on two different days. We know this because some of the leaves are frosted over and others are not. This creates an interesting image of a tree scene because it is unusual.

Image Bank - Reflection

Here is a collective of reflection images that I have found on the internet, these were all taken by a photographer to show the reflection of objects in the world. Reflection is the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat or sound without absorbing it. A light reflection can be of any type of object and is rather interesting.

Here we see that the photographer has seen an amazing photo. In this the clouds look like the depths of space and the setting sun creates a orange tint across the skyline. This object can be rotated 180 degrees but still look like a normal image. The reflective surface in this is a lake which reflects the shore in the distance and also the sun set as well.

In this image the photographer has a mirrored bridge where you can't tell where the supports for under the bridge end because they are reflected in the water. In this image it is hard to tell where the reflection is. Reflection works best on a smooth surface and makes it harder to tell which is the reflection and which it the real one.

Here we have an image of a woman doing yoga and the above image it looks like she is starting in the morning  but in the reflection image it looks like she is doing it at night.

In this image we have a lovely image of a snow and green mountain where the icebergs in the lake are perfectly reflect so they look like an even larger iceberg.

Here we see a reflective image of a mountain in water. The photographer has seen the mouton reflected in the crisp water and has decided that it would make a great photo.

Here we have what looks like a man walking on water. The photographer has sent the person into shallow water and has taken a picture of their mirrored self in the photo.

Image Bank - Shape

Here is a collective of image that have some sort of connection to shape. Each photographer has decided to get a photo that is direly connected to shape. Each image I have found I got them from the internet. Shapes in photography are rather interesting because they are interesting. The shape in the images are all rather basic but are made with interesting methods.

Here we see a photographer as arranged these colouring pencil points to form a circle. This is done by have the tips at a certain angle this creates a circle by using the sides of the tips to continue on the edge of the circle.

In this image we see that the main shape seen repeated throughout the  image is an arch shape which is repeated down the tunnel. This image involves two more formal elements which are depth because of how the tunnel goes from a large area to a small area and there is also tone of black and white involved with this image.

This photographer has managed to capture the ripples made in water dying some rain. These ripples produces lots of circles in the water that are all different sizes because each droplet falls in a different area at a different time.

This image shows eleven marbles placed to look like a heart which is a shape in it's self and also each marble is spiracle in it's own shape. The photographer has managed to capture to spiritlessness of the marbles and shape of the heart.

This image shows two different shapes, the photographer has taken a photo of a downward spiral and has also managed to get a shape of a leaf in the image as well.
In this image we can see that the photographer has seen that the balls are a shape and those balls create a shape if you were to join them all up. If you were to draw a line to each ball you would see a pentagon. This is created because of the angle of the cam are and were the photographer has taken the photo.
